Who comes on UBC boot camps? Women who come to UBC do so for a variety of reasons - to improve their fitness, to lose weight, or simply to challenge themselves to the max. Whatever your reason for coming to a camp, the UBC team will ensure that you get the most out of your experience.
What do I need to bring with me? When you book you will be sent a kit list of everything you need to bring. This list varies depending on the time of year. We supply all exercise equipment.
How many women attend each camp? There are usually 20-30 women on each camp, depending on the location.
Am I fit enough? UBC is for women of all sizes and fitness levels. You will be encouraged to work to your personal maximum limits, so you will not be struggling to keep up with the fittest or held back by others.
Is our fitness assessed when we arrive? Yes, but please don't worry about this. You will be assessed by the trainers at the beginning and end of the week to measure your progress against your own personal goals.
Who will be training us? You will be taken through your paces by the very best in the business, former Royal Marine PTIs. These guys are supportive and will work you to your maximum - motivating, but never intimidating, you.
What does PTI mean? Physical Training Instructor.
Will the nutritionist be on site? Yes, there will be nutritionist on site to advise on healthy eating, and also to work with you to devise your personal nutrition goals for when you leave UBC.
Will I feel hungry? Not at all. You will be provided with a carefully designed, delicious and nutritious diet which is specifically tailored for the amount of exercise you will be completing in the day. All the food is fresh, free range, organic and locally sourced where possible.
What is the accommodation like? The accommodation is carefully chosen. We only use 4 and 5 star cottages and barns in beautiful rural locations to ensure that after a hard day's training you can relax in comfort.
Who will I share with if I am coming on my own? We have single and double occupancy rooms. The majority of our clients share with fellow recruits whom they have not met before, and many form good friendships during the week.
How much weight will I lose in the week? Results during the week vary depending on height, weight, BMI and current activity levels. Although you will see great results in your week at camp, we plan for you to continue increasing your fitness, losing weight and achieving your goals long after your stay at UBC comes to an end. We offer the support and help needed to achieve this with our aftercare team and Members' Area on the website.
What happens when I leave? Although you will see fantastic improvements to your fitness, strength, body shape and weight during your week, UBC isn't just a quick-fix, drop-a-dress size approach. When you leave camp you will be given training and nutrition plans, as well as a log-in for our unique Members' Area on the website. Here you can search for recipes, nutritional information, exercise plans and other helpful resources. You will also have direct access to the UBC fitness and nutrition teams who are always on hand for help and advice.

What payment methods do you use? We take payment by card or cheque.
What is your cancellations policy? We appreciate that sometimes unavoidable circumstances result in recruits needing to cancel their place on a camp. Our cancellation policy can be found in our Terms & Conditions.
How do I get there and what are the start and finish times? On booking, we will advise you of travel options and pick-up times. Training will commence on the afternoon of the first day and we will finish around midday on the final day.
Do I have to attend the whole week? Yes, in order for you to become part of the team, achieve your goals and really enjoy your UBC experience, you have to attend the full course. If you cannot commit to a full week, why not opt for one of our weekend or day courses? Please call the office for further details.
Where can I buy the kit I need? Many shops stock the items on the kit list. If you are having problems finding specific things try taking a look at the great hints and tips from fellow boot campers on the UBC forum. We also sell many of the items that you will require, and they are available at camps and online.
Are mobile phones allowed? Yes, you can use your mobile phones during your down times.
Is there a first-aider on site? Yes, there will be a first aider on site at all times, plus you will have access to a local doctor.
Should I notify UBC if I have any medical conditions/allergies? Certainly. You should inform us of any conditions that you may have when you fill out your medical form prior to your arrival at Ultimate Boot Camp. This will ensure that we can adapt your training programme and menu whilst here to ensure your individual needs are meet. We also ask for a letter from your doctor to say that you are fit and well enough to attend Ultimate Boot Camp.
